How to Plan a Small Wedding in Kansas City
Small and intimate weddings are on the rise this year and I am LOVING it! The feeling of closeness, intimacy, and the relaxed feel of the day is so prevalent when it comes to small or micro weddings. Some of my absolute favorite weddings to photograph have been smaller ceremonies due to the ability to really have time to connect with couples!
Why are Small weddings are so special?
Small weddings are so special for so many reasons but the top reasons would absolutely have to be:
- Lower Stress
- More Intimate
- More "You"
The smaller the wedding, the less you have on your plate mentally and financially. Truly. Less people to think about, less people to feed, etc. In this economy, the price tag of a wedding can be overwhelming, keeping it small to just close friends and family will not only allow you to still celebrate with your closest loved ones but relieve the financial burden a large wedding can cause. The feeling of the day is more centered on you and your partner which is what the whole day should be about! The less people you feel like you have to please, the more it allows you to have to freedom to create a day that feels like you and your partner. It also gives you more room to feel all the emotions on your special day and not feel like you're on display for a crowd. Intimate. Sweet. Small.

Why you Should still hire a wedding photographer for your Small Wedding
I'm a FIRM believer in documenting all the important moments in your life that allow you to leave a legacy and memories for those that come after you. This is one of THE BIGGEST moments you will want to be able to look back on and the quality and intentionality should be felt in that. If you are able to hire a photographer for your wedding, DO IT! It allows you to rely on someone else to capture all the moments of the day without you having to personally think about so you can be more present during your day.
