There’s something about Kansas City that just works for engagement photos—classic architecture, open green space, and timeless details all within minutes of each other. This engagement session at Union Station and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art was the perfect blend of elegant, editorial, and romantic.

A Classic Start at Union Station

We began the session at Union Station, one of Kansas City’s most iconic landmarks. Between the grand columns, soft window light, and historic details, it’s hard to find a bad angle here. The space adds an elevated, almost cinematic feel to engagement photos—perfect for couples who love a polished, refined look.

Kyle & Jena absolutely shined in this setting. Their outfits complemented the architecture beautifully, keeping everything clean, timeless, and cohesive. Union Station is especially great for couples who want photos that feel both romantic and sophisticated without being overly posed.

From there, we headed to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, which is always a favorite for engagement sessions. The museum grounds offer a mix of classic stone architecture and open green spaces, giving us plenty of variety while keeping the overall look cohesive.
